Looks like 47367 is booked traction for the Yellow service loco-hauled turn on Saturday 2nd July. This Saturday, for anyone who missed the gala or still requires to see more top notch Type 4 clag and thrash, six round trips of the line will be on offer with the normal yellow service in operation, viz:

Sheringham departures at 09.45, 11.15, 12.45, 14.15, 15.45 and 17.00
Holt departures at 10.30, 12.00, 13.30, 15.00, 16.20 and 17.30.

Why not come along to experience the sight and sound of a blue Brush Type 4 working hard on the 1 in 80?

Looks like 25057 is the rostered loco for the last two round trips this Saturday 23rd July as per the Saturday red service; with departures at 16.30 and 17.40 from Sheringham.

And then again on Sunday 24th July, 25057 will be working two round trips during the day with freight stock starting out from Holt as normal with the Sunday red service, then two service passenger trains in the evening with departures at 16.30 and 17.40 from Sheringham.

If you're in the area, why not enjoy the sights and sounds of a rather claggy blue Rat working hard on the NNR at some point this weekend

In case anyone is going for the 25, 25057, tomorrow to photograph or observe the 25 working hard on the demonstration freight, times for the freight are as follows:

(The freight is two return trips starting out from Holt as the freight wagons are kept here).

The freight will pass through Weybourne non-stop ten minutes into each trip.

Even though 25057 is booked diesel loco today, I saw a somewhat larger blue Sulzer (ie 47367) arriving at Sheringham with the demonstration freight!

Appears that 47367 is out on today's turn, not 25057 as previously thought.

37037 will hopefully be working the diesel turn this Saturday, subject to confirmation and all usual disclaimers.

Normal Saturday red timetable in operation, so 16.30 and 17.40 departures from Sheringham will be 37-hauled.

There will not be many more opportunities to sample 37037 at the NNR as she is leaving at the end of September, so if you have not yet sampled the very loud 37037 on the 1 in 80, why not come along and enjoy some thrash?

Loco for Sunday's freight turn and two round trips will be confirmed later, but is unlikely to be 37037.

In answer to your question (and as a reminder for all future NNR visitors needing haulage), the loco hauled diesel diagrams are unfortunately weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) only during the red service. Back in 2006 we did try running loco-hauled services on weekdays in high summer, but I'm afraid that probably got a bit expensive considering the small number of passengers staying for the last two trips on a weekday, and probably a bit difficult in terms of staffing considering the need for two man crews:idea: As of 2011, the Saturday red service sees a mainline loco working the 16.30 and 17.40 round trips from Sheringham. Sunday's red service sees a mainline loco working two round trips with a demonstration freight then the 16.30 and 17.40 round trips with a timetabled passenger train from Sheringham as per Saturday.

Sorry to disappoint you in case you're not really a DMU fan, but the 16.30 and 17.40 trips are always covered by a DMU or the diesel railbus on weekdays unless the DMU and railbus are both unavailable for service for any reason. So in answer to your question, tomorrow and Friday's diagram should be covered by the Class 101 DMU.

Sorry if you, like me, would have preferred some Sulzer or English Electric music on Kelling Bank

Perhaps try seeing if you can visit the railway at a weekend if you visit North Norfolk in high summer again Then you might find the more inspiring traction you were no doubt looking for. For instance, 47367 covered last weekend's turn, and 37037 is due a run out this Saturday.

Yes, the Christmas Shopper services are planned for the first 3 Saturdays in December.

We really need these services to work, so please support us and come along for the day. If they are successful, then further steam heat trips with 25057 are not out of the question, along with other out of season days with other mainline diesel locos.
