Preserved Diesels - new site

Postby MacRat » 06 Nov 2010 22:31

The new Preserved Diesels News site can be found here: http://presnews.wordpress.com/

Most of the old PD site has already been transferred over, the archive news and engines pages are currently being looked into.

Top job guys, would have been a shame to have lost all of Tim's hard work.

Just a quick note to see what people think of how the first ten or so months of PD news has gone? Any suggestions or improvements?

Phil & me can now see how tricky it was for Tim to keep on top of news and editing info, photos etc, so if we can keep that side of things down to a minimum it means quicker updates & more of them!

No suggestions that I can think of at the moment - but a post of thanks to the team for keeping the site going.

The site is going really well, but as you say the photos & editing them are an issue.
I have found on slower connections the site can be slow in loading, especially if there is a large number of photos.
One suggestion is to add some technical reference items eg paint codes
Keep up the good work
