East Lancashire railway DMU theme day

Postby stevesmheywood » 16 Mar 2013 20:37

Just to say a really big thanks to all the passengers who supported the event today. Also the class 40 which was allowing punters behind the controls for a trip from PL4 to Baron street also did well raising valuable contributions for improvements to the loco.

'You will also have the opportunity to get behind the controls of the Class 40 D335! For just £10 you will be able to drive the preserved loco, under supervision, from Bury Bolton Street Platform 4 to Baron Street Crossing and back. Turn up and pay on the day.Due to advance interest the Drive a Class 40 Experience is expected to be very busy'

The DMU theme day will be back in 2014. However there may be a DMU fish and chip special one Saturday evening in the summer!

Thanks again.!
