The
Brush designed Class 47's were arguably the most successful of the classes introduced to
replace steam, with over 500 of this Sulzer engined type built between
1962 & 1968. A true mixed traffic engine which could be found all over the
BR network. The class is still in use today working both freight and
passenger trains for various companies. |
