In addition to the recent ERTMS Network Rail contract being won,HNRC Ltd has won a major multi million pound contract to supply locos and maintenance to a major Blue Chip company for the next 20 years. HNRC Ltd is in a position to offer competitive salaries to suitable individuals either current railway professionals or persons seeking training for safety critical posts. The jobs will require persons to work on class 08/20/37/47 BR built locos for use on the national network and also diesel hydraulic industrial locomotives for industrial complexes and sidings. HNRC Ltd is seeking full and part time employees on day and 24/7 shift operation. Harry Needle MD is a supporter of the railway preservation movement and recognises persons carrying out restoration work at such places may not have the qualifications for the big railway to obtain a similar type job. HNRC Ltd is seeking also persons of this nature who have the ability to undergo safety critical training to obtain these qualifications via day release and specialist training, these are denoted as "improvers".
The following vacancies are available; Locomotive fitter (Br dual trained) shift and day work full and part time. Electrician (Br and non Br trained) shift work and part time and full time. Workshop fitter(BREL Works trained) for heavy overhaul of bogies etc-full and part time Mobile loco technitian-able to carry out on site service and repairs to locos via a van. Improver- persons not formally qualified but currently working on preserved vehicles painter/bodywork persons- capable of carrying out bodywork repairs- full and part time. Workshop labourer- assisting fitters full and part time.
